#CJ204 $595.00 DIAMOND and
GOLD in CONGLOMERATE In a recent online auction conducted by a prominent mineral dealer, the diamond in conglomerate offered there was purchased for a winning bid of $1,260.00, after being bid on 44 times. So what would a Diamond and GOLD in conglomerate have gone for? This 7 x 7.3 x 9 cm specimen contains not only a clear, natural, modified octohedral diamond measuring 5 x 5 mm, but also a 5 x 3 cm crystalline nugget of gold. The Gold is quite bright for all it has been through and like the diamond, stands out very well from the matrix. Although the Gold crystal and the Diamond crystal are on opposite sides of the specimen, you can easily orientate the specimen so that both crystals can be seen on the specimen at the same time.
#CJ121 $380.00 SIDERITE after CALCITE A cabinet sized specimen of dark tan colored Siderite which formed over a long ago removed Calcite. The fact that these are now shells is evident on the sides and back of the specimen. In addition, the bottom image not only shows the Pyrite and Sphalerite that is also present on the back of the specimen, you can additionally see that tiny, white Calcite crystals have formed inside the shells of Siderite. The entire front face of the specimen is in good condition and is covered in small, highly iridescent Siderite crystals. The specimen measures 16.2 x 13.5 x 6.5 cm.
