VANADINITE
Mibladen, Morocco

Although there is a lot of Vanadinite out there, this specimen and the one following, are somewhat different in the lustrous nature along with the geometric shapes of the crystals. This specimen measures 2 x 1 x 1.25" and it is covered in deep red, highly lustrous crystals of Vanadinite. Seen from the front, these crystals do not resemble the stalactitic growth that the back side of the specimen shows. Rather than lying flat on the matrix, most of these crystals have grown on top of each other, some barely offset from the others, but none the less adding to the height of the crystal cluster. Individual crystal clusters measure to 0.5 x 0.25 x 0.12" and the entire specimen is in great condition.
