A deep, royal blue mound of Pentagonite crystals extends off the top of this 0.5 x 0.625 x 0.5" specimen. The main cluster of Pentagonite crystals measures 0.375 x 0.375" with additional smaller clusters located around the specimen. Gem-like crystals can be seen in the images above.

APOPHYLLITE on STILBITE

A specimen of green Apophyllite from the now famous "well pocket" that was collected in 2001. This specimen of blocky crystals radiate from a central point with the entire specimen measuring 3.3 x 3 x 2.7 cm.

GREEN HEULANDITE
Aurangabad District
Maharastra, India

This past Tucson I came across some green Heulandite specimens that were new to me. I was told that they came from a recent, one time find from a small mining operation. I selected the best that were available and I have some listed below. The Heulandites are included with Celadonite which gives them their distinct green color.

Light olive colored Heulandite crystals are gathered at the top and scattered about this 10.8 x 8.8 x 7.5 cm specimen. The matrix is  white colored with a chalky consistency and is extremely light in weight. When picking up this specimen you immediately notice that the specimen should weigh more than it actually does.

Several Okenite balls are placed throughout the vug in this 8 x 6 x 7.8 cm specimen. The acicular Okenite balls are snow white and very well protected within the basalt geode.

A single, acicular, snow white Okenite ball is placed near the front of this 9.3 x 5 x 7 cm specimen. Part of the basalt geode is absent from the area beneath the Okenite, but the Okenite is sitting on a Stilbite shelf and is well protected and highly visible.

APOPHYLLITE  STALACTITE

A stalactite of Apophyllite measuring 6 x 2 x 1.8 cm in great shape with no damage to the top of the specimen. Looking closely at the image, you can see the darker center core of the specimen through the hundreds of clear Apophyllite crystals that make up the stalactite. Additional clear double and single terminated Apophyllite crystals are places on the stalactite.

CALCITE, GYROLITE, LAUMONTITE

From an old collection, this specimen consists of numerous Calcite crystals that extend in a straight line from the front, around the top, to the back of the specimen. The Calcites are clear opaque with a brown core to each one. The largest of the Calcites, as seen in the image measures 3 x 3.7 x 2.8 cm. Also present on this 9.1 x 5.9 x 5.5 cm specimen are off-white spheres of Gyrolite place sporadically around the specimen and white Limonite which makes up the specimen's matrix. Comes with 2 collection labels.

A ¼ x ¼ x ¼" bright, deep blue ball of Cavansite is sitting up off a bed of white to clear Apophyllite crystals making the entire specimen measure 2 x 1½ x 1".

CALCITE

A light tan 1¼ x  7/8" Calcite crystal is placed near top of this 3 x 2¾ x 2" specimen. The Calcite is in great shape and along with a smaller Calcite crystal, are both situated on a matrix of light gray druzy Quartz and Rhyolite.

An excellent, dark, royal blue ball of Cavansite sits to one side of this 2 x 2 x 1½" specimen. The Cavansite measures  5/8 x  1/2 x  3/8".

STELLERITES

All of the following specimens are Stellerites 
from Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. All of the Stellerites are much
more peach colored than they appear in the images below.  They all
appear in a Cauliflower shape with the "stalk" of the specimen being very 
peach and highly lustrous. While this stem of the specimen is quite smooth, the tops of each Stellerite are multi-terminated. Where present, the white matrix that the Stellerites are on is Chalcedony. All are in very good condition.

HEULANDITE on CHALCEDONY
Sakur, Aurangabad, India

On a bed of snow white Chalcedony sits various groupings of peach colored Heulandites, making the overall dimensions of this specimen 3 x 2 x 1.5". The highlight of this piece is the Heulandite fan or Heulandite flower that sits upright on the right side of the specimen. This "flower" measure 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25" and has a highly lustrous, glassy appearance. While this front face of the flower is multi-faced, the back of the flower is rounded and glassy smooth. An enlargement of the front of the "flower" can be seen by clicking on the image.

HEULANDITES ON CHALCEDONY

The following specimens are all Heulandites  
on Chalcedony from Sakur, Aurangabad, India.. The deep peach colored Heulandites are placed at various points about the specimen and contrast quite nicely against the snow white background of Chalcedony. The Heulandites measure to 3/8 x 3/8", some individual and some in groups. All of the specimens can be oriented any way in 360° as the Chalcedony ad Heulandites 
are all around each specimen.

STILBITE on APOPHYLLITE
  Jalgaon, India  

An Apophyllite and Stilbite stalagmite measuring 1¾ x 1¼ x 2¾" high. The Apophyllite crystals have clear ends and cloudy centers, while the Stilbite has a light to medium pink color. The doubly terminated Apophyllite crystal on the front measures 1 5/8" across and ½" high. There are 4 other Apophyllite crystals with similar dimensions and single terminations along with 10+ other smaller crystals. The 2 Stibnite crystals measure ¾ x ¾ x ½" thick and ½ x ½ x ¼" thick respectively. There are also smaller Stibnite crystals on the specimen along with an incomplete crystal on the back.

Apophyllite Stalactite from Jalgaon, India. This stalactite begins with a core of very light blue druzy Quartz with the clear Apophyllite covering some, if not all, of this Quartz. Top natural termination of this stalactite is behind the large crystal at the top.
