PHANTOM QUARTZ
An absolutely water clear specimen of Quartz with interesting inclusions in each of the 3 main crystals. With the entire specimen measuring 4¼ x 4 x 2¼", the top two crystals, each measuring about 1½ x 1", have very distinct, gray inclusions. These inclusions appear to be triangular sand crystals that are located in the center of each of the Quartz crystals and extend to the base of the specimen. The third main crystal, 3½ x 1¾" and spread across the front of the specimen, is a perfectly clear window to the gray inclusions toward the back of the crystals. These inclusions range from ¼ to 1½" from the front "pane" of the Quartz crystal. There are slight dings to the edges here and there and one of the points, but these do no detract from the inclusions within. There are also interesting formations on the back of the crystal and all the inclusions can be better seen by going to the enlargements.
INCLUDED QUARTZ
This 6 x 2¼ x 2½" specimen is a complete floater with an unknown yellow inclusion within the Quartz crystal. The top of the crystal is water clear and the top points, edges and faces are all in very good condition. Half way down the crystal begins the area of a bright yellow, unknown inclusion. The inclusions are definitely within the crystal as evidenced in the enlargements. There are two small nicked areas at the side and bottom of the crystal.
#CF551 $200.00 INCLUDED QUARTZ Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil There is quite a bit going on in this 8 x 3 x 2½" specimen. First off, the Quartz is water clear. As seen in the first and second images, the rust colored inclusions that you see are at least 2" inside the body of the crystal. These inclusions are not just on the back plane of the crystal, but are inclusions that are on the surface of other Quartz crystals that are imbedded inside the main crystal. Next, the main crystal is impaled by a Quartz crystal that is half in and half out the main crystal. The part that is out measures 2 1/8 x ¾ x ¾" This side crystal has the rust coloration on the crystal face that is inside the main crystal, which can be seen in the right most image. Finally, all of the faces, edges and points of the specimen are in extremely great condition. There are several Quartz crystals attached to the back of the specimen along with another 1¼" Quartz crystal partially within the main crystal. The water clear nature of the Quartz combined with the bright rust colored inclusions and the impaled crystal make this a very interesting specimen.
RUTILATED QUARTZ
Another absolutely water clear specimen of Quartz, measuring 3 x 1¾ x 1¾", this time included with numerous, dark needles of Rutile. The faces , edges and point of the Quartz are in extremely great condition with the Rutile needles within the crystal measuring to 1½". There is a contacted area at the bottom and back of the specimen and this area has numerous, exposed dark Rutile needles to ¼" present. The enlargements show in greater detail the Rutile crystals both inside and outside of this clear Quartz crystal.
#CF553 $165.00 INCLUDED QUARTZ
Another very interesting specimen. Measuring 5½ x 4½ x 2½", this specimen begins with water clear Quartz throughout the specimen. Although some of the faces are naturally frosted, you still can readily see through the Quartz to the inclusions at the back of the specimen. These inclusion are both a bright white and a medium yellow, with the white above and somewhat in front of the yellow, adding more depth when looking into the front "window". The side crystal measures 5½ x 2½ x 1" and is likewise included with both white and yellow. Also, as readily apparent in the right image, there is a quite pronounced rainbow within the crystals, approximately ¾" deep from the front face. In addition, there are numerous, small, but well pronounced growth helixes present on the top, front face of the main crystal, an approx. 1½ x 1" area, and on the side face of the secondary crystal. Metaphysically, these are referred to as "Record Keepers" and are said to hold the messages of ancient cultures. Finally, there is a small area with dark, needle Rutile crystal inclusions on the side if the specimen. The top edge of the main crystal has some minor chipping, but this does not detract from the specimen. NEXT <~>
