The fossils is a  pair of fossil shells, SCUTELLA FAUJASI. They have been covered by a sandstone conglomerate and then split in half. All of the shells are a white and brown color with the sandstone being a tan color. All of the fossils show a circular banding around the shells. These specimens are 40 million years old and are from Trefumel, France.
