CALCITE Three bright red fluorescing, tapered Calcite crystals make up this 3¾ x 2 x2¼" specimen. All three crystals are complete and in good shape with the crystal in the center measuring 2¼ x 1 x 1". The interesting crystal is the one on the right. The red fluorescing 2½ x 7/8 x ½" crystal has overgrown a clear hexagonal Calcite crystal. This hexagonal crystal does not itself fluoresce, but the red color comes through from the Calcite behind. Mine operators claim that they do not see this combination very often.
